The Rural Network is holding the Best Practices 2010 competition to find the best practices for developing rural areas.
The purpose of the competition is to publicise good practices emerging from rural area development programmes in Finland and to disseminate useful practices nationwide.
A total of 173 project entries were submitted for the competition in five categories, and 20 of these were shortlisted for the final round.
The winners will be announced at Rural Gala 2010 at the Old Student House in Helsinki on 7 October.
